Each year, colour gurus Pantone release a Colour of the Year. For 2017, the selection is Greenery. Fresh, vibrant and full of zest, this yellow green references lush foliage and new growth.
Pantone's Executive Director, Leatrice Eismann, highlights "Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise. Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and the larger purpose." After a challenging 2017, who's keen for a fresh start? Greenery, lead the way!
If Pantone sets the colour trends- who uses them? Y'all remember the oh so pretty, pale pink that was all over interior blogs and magazines last year? That was Pantone's 2016 Colour of the Year, Rose Quartz. So be on standby folks, you'll notice this zingy green popping up all over the design world.
